The situation in Karachai-Circassia (a republic in the North Caucasus) is controlled by the police, RIA Novosti was told in the press service of the Interior Ministry's Southern Federal District Directorate. All personnel of the republic's Interior Ministry were attracted to stabilize the situation in the republic's capital. "The situation in the square in front of the government building, where participants of an unsanctioned rally gathered on Tuesday went out of control after rally participants learnt that President Mustafa Batdyyev was out of the building," said the press service. After that the rally participants started bursting into the building. According to the press service report, the rally participants crashed windows, broke furniture and threw it out the windows. "Part of rally participants who stayed in the street hurled stones into the government building's windows," said the source. By his information, at 3 p.m. the police started evacuating people who got into the building without permission. Three officers of the extra-departmental guard were wounded in the action, said the press service
