The crash took place near the village of Badam in the Yuzhno-Kazakhstansky region on Sunday. Three passengers in a Toyota died at the scene, while a passenger in a Mitsubishi vehicle died later in hospital, the spokesman said.

Six others were hospitalized with various injuries.
