A 10-year-old boy survived a fall from a fifth-storey apartment
A 10-year-old boy survived a fall from a fifth-storey apartment in Budapest, landing on a heap of garbage and escaping with no injuries, the Ananova news portal said on Thursday.

Ferenc Kovac accidentally slipped from the window and could have fallen onto a concrete path, but miraculously landed on a pile of rubbish bags that had been left out that morning by neighbors.

"Normally the trash bags are put in a large metal container, but the container broke and was taken away by the council, so we just had to leave the bags out," the boy's neighbor was quoted by Ananova as saying.

"He fell right on top of them, and they cushioned his fall. He's a very lucky young lad."

Two years ago, a man fell 40 meters from a helicopter in Austria, and survived due to deep snow.
