A man has survived after jumping from a 25-meter (82 feet)
A man has survived after jumping from a 25-meter (82 feet) bridge in the southwestern Siberian city of Tomsk in an apparent suicide attempt, a local rescue spokesman said on Tuesday.

"Today at 4:26 a.m. (22:26 GMT) a 35-year-old man jumped from a bridge from a height of about 25 meters," the spokesman said.

The man suffered various injuries but managed to survive, he said. "He was lifted up onto the bridge on a stretcher with the help of special rock-climbing equipment," he said.

He was later taken to hospital by ambulance.
