Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said in a new message posted
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said in a new message posted on his website on Monday that he plans to provide a response to the comments left on his video blog soon.

"I would first of all like to thank you for the comments I have received on the site following my video address...I read these comments and they are all different. I do not only read them but also plan to respond to them," Medvedev said in his new video message.

Medvedev said he will "touch upon some of the most important topics" and he stressed he had instructed his administration staff to prepare answers and, where required, official instructions in some cases.

The Russian president has had a video blog on the Kremlin site since the fall of 2008 and since January 12 registered visitors have been able to leave their own comments in Russian.

The number of registered users to Medvedev's personal video blog has passed 3,500 and more than 3,000 comments have been published as of January 30. The president promised to read the comments "with great interest."

In order to leave a comment on the president's personal video blog, visitors first have to register with the official Kremlin site, but the message must be less than 2,000 characters and may be subject to editing to avoid grammatical and spelling mistakes.

Visitors can be denied access if they use abusive or foul language, or words that could promote hatred or discrimination towards minority groups or minors, and also if they are used for commercial or advertising purposes.
