Emir Kusturica and No Smoking Orchestra visited Moscow
Emir Kusturica and No Smoking Orchestra visited Moscow for the third time and gave a concert in the Gorbunov Palace of Culture. The house was full on December 17. The audience joined in their favorite hits with delight. Famous film director and bassist of the band Emir Kusturica gave a press conference at the Kitaisky Letchik club. Media men were surprised with his intention to quit cinematography in 2005. However, taking into account Kusturica's irony, this statement was hardly serious. According to the filmmaker, his passion for music is explained by his striving for simple pleasures. He became a musician to feel real joy. "The audience never sits at our concerts. Our music is therapeutic and close to hypnosis," Emir Kusturica said adding that he dreamt of performing in a prison. A varied crowd came to the culture palace to listen to his music in the Gypsy spirit. The program of the Moscow concert included fragments of soundtracks of Kusturica's latest movies and the most successful album of No Smoking Orchestra, Unza Unza Time. Emir Kusturica performed his traditional trick with spinning a guitar with illumination. Violinist George changed into black and green with a violin on his head.
