Russian national team coach Guus Hiddink will get to pit his Chelsea side against Liverpool in the Champions League quarterfinals after the draw for the last eight and the semifinals on Friday.

The draw, made in Nyon, Switzerland, brings together Liverpool and Chelsea in the knockout stages of the tournament for the fourth time in the last five years, with the winner going on to the final on each occasion.

Liverpool won in 2005 and 2007, while Chelsea triumphed last year before losing on penalties to Manchester United in the final. Liverpool beat AC Milan in the 2005 final, but lost a rematch two years' later.

In the other ties, holders Manchester United face Porto, Arsenal take on Spanish side Villarreal, while the only fixture without English involvement sees Barcelona clash with Bayern Munich. The ties take place on April 7&8 and April 14&15.

The winners of the Chelsea-Liverpool tie will face whoever emerges victorious from the Barcelona-Bayern match, while Manchester United and Arsenal could meet in an all-English semifinal if they both win their ties.

The final is in Rome on May 27.

British bookmakers make Manchester United 2-1 favorites to lift the trophy for the second time in two years.
