The fact of the death of Ukrainian transport minister Georgy Kirpa
The Ukrainian general prosecutor's office has opened a criminal case on the fact of the death of Ukrainian transport minister Georgy Kirpa under Article 120 of the Criminal Code ("driving a person to suicide"), Yuri Boichenko, deputy head of the press-service of the prosecutor's office, told RIA Novosti. In his words, the minister's body was found around 7 p.m. Moscow time with a gunshot wound at the dacha in the village of Bortnichi outside Kiev. A pistol lay near the body. A cartridge case and a cartridge were also found. The criminal case was opened after prosecutor-general Svyatoslav Piskun, his deputy Viktor Shokhin and an investigation-operative group arrived at the scene of the crime.
