Vladimir Putin:"In the near future the government and scientists will decide where technological parks will be formed to develop science"
According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, in the near future the government and scientists will decide where technological parks will be formed to develop science. Meeting students of Moscow State University, Mr. Putin noted that problems of science and formation of technological parks are constantly under discussion. A special session on this issue was recently held in the Siberian department of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Novosibirsk. A decision was made at this session to create technological parks with special legal, tax and customs regulations, the head of state said. In his words, technological parks are to be formed in Dubna, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Tomsk and Nizhny Novgorod. Vladimir Putin believes that a technological park can be formed on the basis of Moscow State University but the University's management should discuss this possibility with the Education and Science Ministry
