Russia and Iran have discussed issues pertaining to the Iranian nuclear program's transparency and peaceful nature, reads a report by the Russian Foreign Ministry's information and press department that was received by RIA Novosti here today. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, this country's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Kislyak had visited Teheran January 24-25 within the framework of regular Russian-Iranian consultations. Mr. Kislyak negotiated with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Gulam Hoshru, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme National Security Council S. Mosavian, as well as A. Borudgeri, Chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission. The sides discussed a wide range of bilateral-cooperation issues, as well as issues pertaining to the Iranian nuclear program's transparency and peaceful nature, the Russian Foreign Ministry's report notes.
