New York dealer Gary Tatintsian, has opened Tatintsian Gallery Inc. on Ilyinka street near Red Square
New York dealer Gary Tatintsian, has opened Tatintsian Gallery Inc. on Ilyinka street near Red Square. He presents effective works by top modern artists, Kommersant writes. A gallery in Moscow is the best way to cooperate with top western writers, Mt. Tatintsian said. They already cooperate with the five leading galleries in New York but each of them is willing to work for Russia, he added. Peter Halley is the star of the Moscow exhibition. Big corporations are fond of his bright geometrical pictures resembling computer microchips. Other artists, sculptors Antony Gormley and Tony Matelli and video artist Tony Ausler are famous, as well. The most striking feature of their works is technological perfection meeting the level of modern industrial production - photo prints of the highest resolution and true-to-life plastic figures (many visitors were shocked by a silicone monkey exhibited in the center of the hall). The exhibition presents the authors ready to cooperate with the gallery in the future. World design stars Karim Rashid and Ron Arad will be exhibited in Moscow. This is logical because high technologies link modern art and modern design
