Vladimir Putin has sent a telegram to his Georgian counterpart
Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a telegram to his Georgian counterpart, Mikhail Saakashvili, offering condolences over the tragic death of Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania, reports the Kremlin press office. "I am expressing deep condolences over the early and tragic death of the prominent statesman and politician, Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania," reads the telegram. "Zurab Zhvania was known in Russia as an advocate of more intensive friendly relations between the Russian and Georgian nations," said the president. Mr. Zhvania died of accidental gas poisoning at night, according to Georgia's Interior Ministry
