The musical festival Crescendo will open February 10 in the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory
The musical festival Crescendo will open February 10 in the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. The talent of young musicians, who will take part in the festival, is little known to Russia's broad audience, though it is well known abroad, the Cultural Information Agency reports. For example, Alexei Ogrinchuk is called "one of the first oboists in the world," Borislav Strulev - "the best cellist on our planet," and the name of pianist Boris Andrianov has been included in "The Golden Book of Russia's Talents." Many of the young musicians have won prestigious international contests. The aim of the festival is to present the new generation of the Russian musical and ballet school. The festival's program on February 13 will be devoted to ballet. The Perm State Opera and Ballet House will demonstrate its art. February 15 will be a day dedicated to jazz. The Lundstrem State Camera Jazz Band, directed by Georgy Garanyan, will play that evening. The concerts of the Crescendo Festival will take place in the best concert halls and theaters of the Russian capital: the Moscow Conservatory, the New Stage of the Bolshoi Theater and the Music House. The chief director of the Crescendo Festival is Vladimir Fedoseyev.
