The Norwecom 12th international exhibition of telecommunication systems has opened in the Lenexpo exposition center, St. Petersburg
"Among these remarkable stands and the great variety of Internet-services we see the features of the future information society which will influence the economic, social and culture development of the world in the 21st century," Russian Information and Mass Communications Minister Leonid Reiman said. On his part, Russian President's authorized representative in the North-western federal district Ilya Klebanov said that Norwecom was "the central ground letting foreign and Russian companies, telecommunications operators, research institutes, higher education establishments and mobile companies present their achievements". All in all, 150 companies from Germany, France, Finland, Israel, Taiwan, Slovenia, Ukraine and Russia participate in the exhibition. It includes three pavilions with the total area of over 10,000 square meters. The leading telecommunications companies, research institutes, mobile operators, higher education establishments and representatives of the acclaimed world producers of telecommunications equipment and communication means are Norwecom participants.
