Vladimir Putin proposes using a good moral atmosphere to develop Russian-Slovak economic relations
Russian President Vladimir Putin proposes using a good moral atmosphere to develop Russian-Slovak economic relations. "Taking into account the very good moral atmosphere of our interaction and good history of our interstate relations, we should use this to develop ties between our countries, in particular, economic cooperation," Mr. Putin said during his meeting with Slovakia's Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda. According to the Russian leader, Russian-Slovak economic ties are constantly growing. "Last year they were growing with advancing exports from Slovakia to Russia. The total volume reached $3 billion. This is a good trade turnover," Mr. Putin noted. "However, we have many more possibilities. I am convinced that we shall find the right and necessary decisions for the welfare of our nations," he said. "I am sure that Vladimir Putin's visit will promote traditional good relations between our countries," Mikulas Dzurinda said, on his part. I have just visited the parliament where I talked to representatives of all the Slovak political forces and was shown the state seal, Mr. Putin said. "And now I have a chance to talk to the man managing the state treasury, finances and economic life of the country," he said smiling. Vladimir Putin "arrived in Slovakia in 2005, the year when the 60th anniversary of the Victory over Nazism is marked", Mr. Dzurinda noted. "Slovakia will always remember the important role Russia played in this victory," the Slovak premier stressed
