Yulia Timoshenko's visit to Russia is to happen within a month
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko's visit to Moscow is to happen within a month, the Ukrainian premier's press-secretary Vitaly Chepinoga told RIA Novosti this Monday. "As of today, this visit ought to take place within a month. I can only add that no trips are planned for the next week," he said. Still earlier in the day, Vitaly Chepinoga disproved certain media reports about Yulia Timoshenko's intention to arrive in Moscow for talks with her Russian counterpart Mikhail Fradkov this Monday. On February 25, though, Yulia Timoshenko told reporters that a Russian-Ukrainian government summit was scheduled for March. All arrangements are underway, the meeting is expected in the nearest future and most probably in Moscow, according to an informed source in the Russian government. He mentioned the exchange of expert visits between Kiev and Moscow, saying that it was Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov who had been dispatched to Ukraine. "Russian business interests should be upheld," continued the source. "We should come to terms with Ukraine without stumbling in our negotiations. The Russian-Ukrainian commission ought not to cease its work."
