Russian President Vladimir Putin remains an absolute leader among Russian politicians in the level of people's trust and positive assessment of his activities. These are the results of the representative poll of 1,600 Russian citizens conducted by the All-Russia Public Opinion Center in late February in 100 settlements of 39 regions, territories and republics of the Russian Federation. The activities of Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov are approved by 26% and disapproved by 52% (in January 30% and 44%). Vladimir Putin takes the lead in the rating of hypothetical presidential nominees. 45% of the polled are ready to vote for him. Mr. Putin is followed by leader of the Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia Vladimir Zhirinovsky (5%) and Communist leader Gennady Zyuganov (5%).
