Hungary and Bashkiria are making plans to begin joint production of special trolleybuses for the disabled
Hungary's Ganz Transelectro Traktsionnaya Electronic and the Bashkiria Trolleybus Plant (BTZ) are making plans to begin joint production of special trolleybuses for the disabled. The Ufa administration press service told that an agreement was recently signed in Ufa between Zoltan Dunai, the head of the Hungarian company, and the Ufa admistration's first deputy Vladimir Fyodorov. The design of the trolleybus was created at BTZ in September of last year. The design's chief characteristic is that the trolleybus floor is 30 cm lower than usual. The trolleybus will also be equipped with a special platform to raise and lower wheel chairs, two seats located next to the exit and special electronic communications with the driver. The first trolleybus should roll of the plant's assembly line in the first half of this year. The Ufa administration intends to purchase the first trolleybus.
