The 'Grand Children's Embassy' project is setting off from Kaliningrad to Europe.
The press service of the regional government told RIA Novosti the project scheduled to begin Thursday included gifted children from poor Russian families, who will give a series of concerts and shows across Europe. "Seventy young musicians, artists, and dancers aged 10 to 15 and their doyennes will take part in the trip, assuming a mission to reach out to people across the border as 'goodwill ambassadors', to promote good neighborhood in Europe, which comes as an especially important thing in a year of the 60th anniversary of the victory over Nazism," the press service said. Almost all participants in the project have a record of winning Russian and international contests and festivals. According to the press service, a series of concerts and shows under the project will take place in Germany, France, Monaco, and Poland. "Performances have been structured to suit both open platforms and closed halls," the press service also said
