Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said it at the meeting with Vladimir Putin. "I'm sure that relations between Russia and Israel, between me and Vladimir Putin will be even closer and warmer", Sharon said. Israeli premier told Putin in the Russian language: "You are among friends here". In turn, Putin thanked the Israeli prime minister for his warm words in his own and Russia's address. "You have recalled the significance of the days when our meeting is being held. They are sacred for us because our peoples have suffered the heaviest losses", the Russian president said. "It is not the first time that we meet. Every meeting was useful and full of content, and the present one has become possible thanks to them", Putin noted. He also added that his visit is being held in the days of the Jewish Passover and on eve of the Orthodox Easter and congratulated the entire Jewish people on this holiday and wished them happiness.
