An All-Russian Congress of Esperantists is opening in Yekaterinburg on Friday, head of the Ural association of Esperanto lovers Vladimir Terekhin told RIA Novosti. "About 110 delegates from different regions of Russia - from the Leningrad Region to Vladivostok - will assemble in the capital of the Ural area to discuss the topical problems of the language of international intercourse," he said. The official opening of the forum will take place on Saturday, April 30. A festival of poets, bards and musicians, creating works in Esperanto, will, in particular, be held within the Congress. The Congress of Esperantists will last till May 5. The year of 1887 when the first Esperanto handbook came out is considered to be the year of the birth of this language
