Putin laid four red carnations at the stele with the names of correspondents killed in WWII. Then Putin, accompanied by the chief editor, toured the center and could watch the computer-aided makeup of the newspaper. The chief editor updated Putin on the newspaper makeup technology. President Putin watched articles being inserted in a newspaper issue. "You see, you have just come, but we have included you photo in the issue already," said Sungorkin.
