Three large forest conflagrations over 2,355 hectares have been reported from the Far East
The blaze has spread over 415 hectares 169 kilometres from the village of Ust-Maya in Yakutia, and 370 hectares were ablaze six kilometres from the station of Issa in the Amur Region. There are 18 fire outbreaks in Far East forests. Fires are also reported from the Khabarovsk Territory and the Magadan and Jewish regions. More than 150 people and 33 units of machines, including eight planes and helicopters, were fighting the fires. A fire has spread over 1,752 hectares on Kamchatka in 24 hours. The forest is burning in central Kamchatka regions, a source at the Kamchatka forestry airbase told Itar-Tass. There are five outbreaks in the region. The largest is 20 kilometres from the settlement of Kozyrevsk. Ablaze are 170 hectares of forests and 1,500 hectares of other areas. There is no danger for the settlement so far. Forty specialists fight the fire, and nine units of machines are used in the operation.
