Indexation extras to old-age pensions will be paid by August 1
Indexation extras to old-age pensions will be paid by August 1 for the second time this year to bring the average old-age pension to 2,569 roubles, Health and Social Development Minister Mikhail Zurabov told President Putin on Monday. Payments of the indexation extras involves serious extra expenditures because the indexation scale is much broader than pensions increases given in the previous years, including the year 2004, Zurabov said. At the beginning of the year the average old-age pension totaled 2,090 roubles, while after the indexation extras are paid it will make up 2,569 roubles, which is rather an essential increase, Zurabov added
