More than 60 million barrels of oil have been extracted from the Sakhalin shelf
The Vityaz complex extracted the oil from the Piltun-Astokhskoye field in the Sea of Okhotsk. The complex has opened the seventh production season. The Sakhalin Energy company said that pumping of oil from the platform, the main part of the Vityaz system, into the Okha tanker began on Tuesday. Capacity of the tanker is 156,000 tonnes. The one hundredth shipment of oil from the Vityaz complex is expected to take place there this season. Oil extracted from the Sakhalin shelf during the six seasons was supplied to Japan, South Korea, China, Thailand, the United States and the Philippines
