A leasing system in Russia’s aircraft-building industry has proven to be efficient
A leasing system in Russia’s aircraft-building industry has proven to be efficient, the Ilyushin-Finance Leasing Company press service told Itar-Tass on Friday. Russian airlines have bought two Il-96-300 and three Tu-204 thanks to this system, the press service said. Two Il planes and two Tu-204-300 will be delivered before the end of this year. “The Volga-Dnepr Airline has ordered two cargo planes, Tu-96-400T. The planes will be supplied in 2006,” the press service said. The total cost of the program (eleven new planes) nears 12.5 billion rubles. 20% of that sum are direct federal budget investments in Ilyushin-Finance, and the rest are loans. Ilyushin-Finance has offered another 17-billion-ruble project to the government
