Norwegian Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik visiting Russia
Norwegian Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik came to Moscow on Sunday to discuss trade, economic and energy cooperation and investments. The sides will consider larger trade and compare their attitudes to the activities of international organizations, including reforms of the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Council of Europe, a source in the Norwegian embassy said. Bondevik wants to discuss negotiations delimitating the continental shelf and economic zones in the Barents Sea, interpretation of some aspects of the Spitsbergen Archipelago legal status, navigation safety and oil and gas deliveries in the northern zone. Norway will assign $1 million for the construction of a boarding school in Beslan, North Ossetia. An agreement to the effect will be signed during the visit, the embassy said.
