Vladimir Putin:"Now it is best of all to keep money on deposits"
President Vladimir Putin of Russia holds the view that now it is best of all to keep money on deposits. He said this at his meeting with the students of Omsk State Technological University. Asked by a woman student what the dollar's exchange rate will be, Putin noted that "even the head of the US Federal Reserve System does not know it - even he cannot say it for sure." "Some analysts believe, however, that the US administration has taken a selfish stand, deliberately understating the dollar's exchange rate, and there are reasons to believe that it can be further brought down," the president said. According to him, some analysts believe that the dollar's exchange rate can further decline by 10-15 per cent.
