The Central Bank revoked the licenses of several Russian banks
The Central Bank revoked the licenses of several Russian banks as part of its fight against the legalization of criminal incomes, bank head Sergei Ignatyev said Wednesday. "There are not many cases like this, but they do exist," he said at a plenary session of the lower chamber of parliament. Ignatyev did not specify which banks had had their licenses revoked. "The Central Bank of Russia is very proactive in this sphere, and the results are given in the bank's report to the State Duma," Ignatyev said. "The Central Bank executes oversight activities stipulated by Federal legislation," he added.
