An electrical substation was blasted in Dagestan
An electrical substation was blasted in Dagestan’s Khasavyurt region overnight to Thursday, Dagestan police sources have reported. A powerful explosive device was triggered at a substation on the outskirts of the settlement of Mogilevskoye at about 2 am, Moscow time, on Thursday. Early reports said no one had been injured in the blast. The damage is estimated at half-a-million roubles. The city of Khasavyurt and neighbouring settlements receive electricity from reserve sources. Restoration work is in progress at the site, while investigators are looking into the blast. About ten days ago the same substation was already attacked by terrorists, who shelled it from a grenade launcher. They pierced an oil tank. The damage from the shelling made up 30,000 roubles (about 1,000 U.S. dollars).
