The IAEA Board of Governors are continuing discussions Wednesday afternoon here on Iran's nuclear problem
An IAEA official said participants failed to reach an agreement when the talks began Tuesday on the Iranian "nuclear dossier". IAEA experts said Tehran confirmed its willingness to continue talks with EU countries on the issue, although the country does not intend to suspend its uranium enrichment programs. During the Tuesday session, Western countries made an attempt to include in the draft of the resolution firm critical statements regarding Tehran's position on nuclear issues, especially in relation to resumption of activities at the Isfahan nuclear facility. However, representatives of developing countries formed a strong opposition, creating a deadlock, the IAEA official said. He said it was doubtful that the current session would adopt a resolution on submitting the Iranian "nuclear dossier" to the UN Security Council, although this issue could be on the agenda of one of the following IAEA Board meetings and the upcoming IAEA General Conference here at the end of September if Iran remains steadfast on the issue
