Greek television said rescuers had found flight recorders from the Cypriot Boeing-737
Greek television said rescuers had found flight recorders from the Cypriot Boeing-737 that crashed near Athens earlier in the day, with the likelihood that all the 115 passengers aboard had been killed. Cypriot media quoted Greek police officials saying no one of the passengers had been found alive. The jet crashed en route from Larnaca to Prague with a stopover in Athens. In the meantime, Anna Kovarikova, a spokeswoman for the Czech Republic's aviation department said the passengers of that flight were predominently Cypriots, as no one reported missing relatives in Prague in connection with the accident and no one turned up at the Ruzine international airport to pick up the passengers from that flight. The airport itself was functioning as usual Sunday afternoon, and nothing on its compound was indicative of an air tragedy.
