TransNafta company has increased its gas deliveries to Belarus
The TransNafta company has increased its gas deliveries to Belarus in March at the old price by 500 million cubic metres; thus, they will amount to 1,700,000, 000 cubic metres, reported the head of the TransNafta gas department, Denis Vinogradov. "Appropriate documents have been signed today between the Beltransgaz and the TransNafta. In its turn, the TransNafta notified the Gazprom about increasing its deliveries," Vinogradov said. Touching upon the question of the debt, he noted that the Belarusian side had paid off its January debt, while the February and March debts are still due. "The amount of gas to be delivered at the old price of 46.68 dollars for thousand cubic metres will be enough till the end of this month," Vinogradov added. According to the head of the Gazprom's mass media relations department, Igor Volobuyev, with the existence of appropriate contracts for gas deliveries to Belarus, Gazprom ensures and will continue to ensure uninterrupted transportation. It has stopped gas deliveries to Belarus since January 1, 2004. At the present time, Belarus receives gas from independent suppliers - TransNafta and the Sibur company which will deliver 200 million cubic metres of gas to the republic under the contract with Beltransgaz. Another independent gas supplier, the Itera company, stopped its gas deliveries to Belarus since February 12, 2004. However, it is ready to resume them at the price of 46.68 dollars for thousand cubic metres and to deliver 500 million cubic metres in March. So far, however, no reply to the Itera proposal has come from Beltransgaz. RIAN
