More than 130 underground mini-refineries have been liquidated in Chechenya
More than 130 underground mini-refineries have been liquidated in Chechenya as of the beginning of the current year, Itar-Tass learnt at the State Property Protection Department of the Russian Interior Ministry. According to the ministry, now law enforcers continue to undertake measures to discover underground refineries. “During the operation, 50 tank trucks, which illegally transported stolen oil fuel, were detained and 290 tanks for keeping stolen oil products were destroyed,” representatives of the ministry said. The confiscated oil was given to the oil and gas company Grozneftegaz. 66 criminal proceedings were instituted. Besides, according to the ministry, all oil pipelines in Chechnya are being actively equipped with the special guarding system Magistral which was successfully tested early this year.
