KamAZ plans to increase revenue to $3 billion by 2010
KamAZ, Russia's leading truck manufacturer, plans to increase revenue to $3 billion by 2010, according to the company's five-year development plan approved by the board of directors Tuesday. KamAZ General Director Sergei Kogotin said the enterprise intended to increase sales to 50,000 trucks a year in that period and expected a net profitability of 7%. Kogotin said KamAZ planned to increase exports with time. "Last year, the company exported 6,400 trucks and 8,500 this year." Last year, KamAZ sold 28,000 trucks and earned 46.5 billion rubles ($1.6 billion) with a net profit of 208 million rubles ($7.3 million).
