Russia's first joint military exercise with China cost it some $5.5 million
Russia's first joint military exercise with China cost it some $5.5 million, Deputy Army Commander Vladimir Moltensky said Thursday. The exercise, held in the Yellow Sea, off China's Shandong Peninsula, demonstrated a high level of proficiency of both Russian and Chinese naval personnel, said Pacific Fleet Commander Viktor Fyodorov. Ten thousand Russian and Chinese troops took part in the eight-day exercise, which used air, sea and land forces to simulate a mission stabilizing a restive country.
