Sergei Ivanov will arrive Monday in the Astrakhan region
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov will arrive Monday in the Astrakhan region (Central Russia), where he will attend a joint CIS Air Defense exercise, Military Commonwealth - 2005, the Defense Ministry said. Ivanov will hold talks with his Belarusian counterpart Leonid Maltsev, the defense ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Serzh Sargsyan and Safar Abiyev, and with the commander of the Russian Air Force, Vladimir Mikhailov. On Tuesday, Ivanov will watch a live firing defense exercise at the Ashuluk firing range.
