The tax administration system in Russia is often bureaucracy of a corrupt nature
The tax administration system in Russia is often bureaucracy of a corrupt nature, Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov said at the international conference of investors Brunswick UBC in Moscow on Wednesday. “I believe that we often do a lot of unnecessary work, tackle a colossal amount of scrap and often in vain. We understand that the taxation topic worries us, but it not less worries you,” Fradkov said in opening remarks. He expressed regret that “we have done far from all in order to complete the work on improvement of tax administration”. As for investment, the government takes efforts “to provide to business guarantees of calm and confident work on the Russian market”. This is all about the work of strategic enterprises, where “interest must be clear”, a tax system “equally clear both for Russian and foreign investors” and reduction of tax rates. Fradkov stressed that the government “counts on the active participation of investors”. He wished the conference “successful work and a creative atmosphere in the interests of both Russia’s economy and business”
