The Russian government approved Thursday a power industry investment program and the fiscal plans of Russian energy giant Unified Energy Systems (UES). The total volume of investment in Russia's power industry in 2006 is planned at 160 billion rubles ($5.6 billion). The UES holding said it intended to invest 130.5 billion rubles ($4.6 billion).
