Two Russians were hospitalized in Bratislava
Two Russians were hospitalized in Bratislava with stab wounds after a clash between soccer fans on the eve of the Russia-Slovakia 2006 World Cup qualifier decider, a Russian Embassy official said Wednesday. Sergei Cherkalin said: "Two Russians suffered stab wounds and are currently in hospital... Their lives are not in danger." He said police had detained 37 Russian soccer fans. The police also detained dozens of Slovakian fans, who were later released after questioning. The brawl took place late Tuesday night in downtown Bratislava.
