Almost 370 kilograms of drugs have been seized on the Russian-Kazakh border in the Orenburg region, Itar-Tass learnt at the Main Department for Combating Smuggling of the Russian Federal Customs Service. The detained drugs contained 362 kilograms of heroin, 4.4 kilograms of hashish, three kilograms of opium and 50 grams of marihuana. “The drugs were discovered during an examination of a Jeep which came to Russia from Kazakhstan,” head of the press service of the Main Department for Combating Smuggling Tatyana Beklenishcheva said. “Hiding-places were arranged in the boot and extra fuel tank.” The driver was detained and criminal proceedings were instituted against him.
