Workers of all poultry farms in the Moscow region have been ordered to use the means of individual protection, including respiratory masks, gloves, the administration of the Moscow region told Tass on Thursday. At present, all the poultry farms have been working in a closed regime: access to poultry farms, including admission of vehicles there, has been restricted. All the personnel of the poultry farms undergo every-day medical examination before they begin work. The personnel who have direct contact with the poultry have been banned from contact with the poultry at home. "Instead, either their relatives or acquaintances should be asked to take care of the domestic poultry of employees of poultry farms," the authorities of the Moscow government explained. No incidents of bird flu have been registered in the Moscow region yet, "Nonetheless, no ban on deliveries of poultry to Moscow has been imposed yet, and one cannot say yet the bird flu has reached the Moscow region," a source from the Moscow food resources department told Tass, The Tula poultry farms, where the virus of the bird flu has been confirmed, do not supply poultry to Moscow.
