Impeksbank is organizing the financing for Center-Capital to buy eight Boeing-757 aircraft from Condor Flugdienst
Impeksbank is organizing the financing for Center-Capital (Moscow) to buy eight Boeing-757 aircraft from Condor Flugdienst (Germany), a subsidiary of Lufthansa, the bank announced. At this time, the bank, working with a syndicate of foreign banking partners, said it has completed financing arrangements for delivery of two of the aircraft at a price of USD 19 million. The term of the credit is six months. The financing for the first plane was arranged with Commerzbank (Frankfurt) and three other foreign banks. The deal for the second plane is being arranged with ING-BHF-Bank (Frankfurt) and two other banks. The planes will enter the fleet of Vim-Avia, a member of the Center-Capital group, and will be used for domestic Russian and international flights. The purchase agreement for the purchase of the planes was signed by the Center-Capital group in January 2004. Vim-Avia was created in December 2002. Its fleet now comprises two AN-12 freight carriers and 11 Il-62 passenger planes. Impeksbank was founded in 1993 and now offers a full range of banking services and maintains a large number of branches. It is one of the 30 largest Russian banks. Its loan portfolio rose 78% in 2003 to reach approximately USD 399 million.
