A total of 26 people have been hospitalized with dysentery in Russia’s Chelyabinsk region, sources from the regional department of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations told Itar-Tass on Tuesday. According to the sources, there are 12 children aged seven to 16 among them. The outbreak of the disease was registered in the city of Zlatoust. The first patients went to medics on October 27, the sources specified. According to early reports, they were infected after drinking water from a local spring. Water samples have been sent to the sanitary and epidemiological station for tests. Meanwhile, local authorities have decided to close that spring
