Two G8 meetings in 2006 will be held in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the Russian finance minister said Tuesday. "Two G8 meetings will be held next year when Russia holds the rotating presidency. The first one will take place on February 10 and 11 in Moscow and the second, in late May in St. Petersburg," Alexei Kudrin said at a Finance Ministry Board session. The Moscow meeting will be held for G-8 finance ministers and be overseen by Russian Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Storchak.
