Reigning heavyweight WBC Champion of the World Vitali Klitschko announced Wednesday that he was hanging up his gloves due to a knee injury. The 34-year-old Ukrainian had been due to fight American Hasim Rahman on November 12. But after taking medical advice on the injury to his right knee, Klitschko decided to end his career. "Recently I was fighting more with my injuries than with my opponents," Klitschko said. "I made the tough decision to quit sports at the peak of my boxing career and give my belt to the World Boxing Council."
