The planned April 21-22 visit to Moscow by Estonian Foreign Minister Kristiina Ojuland has been postponed
The planned April 21-22 visit to Moscow by Estonian Foreign Minister Kristiina Ojuland has been postponed. Postimees, the Estonian newspaper, suggested that the postponement was related to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's refusal to meet with her. The press office of Estonia's Foreign Ministry told that the change was made because Ojuland is needed for a cabinet session Thursday in Tallinn at which important questions of foreign policy are to be discussed. Ojuland's plans for Moscow included meetings with State Duma and Federation Council representatives as well as with Patriarch Aleksey II. This would have been the first visit of an Estonian foreign minister to Moscow since 1994.
