Russia and Thailand are set to sign an agreement on a visa-free travel in the middle of December
Russia and Thailand are set to sign an agreement on a visa-free travel in the middle of December, the Russian foreign minister said Tuesday. "We hope to sign it quickly and aim to sign it in the middle of December," Sergei Lavrov said after talks with his Thai counterpart Khantathi Suphamongkon. The minister said they discussed the cancellation of the visa regime during the talks and an agreement on the issue is being drafted. The ministers said in a joint statement that the agreement might be signed within the framework of the Russia-ASEAN summit. ASEAN is the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and comprises Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
