Over the past three months Dagestan’s police killed 21 and detained 85 members of illegal armed formations in security sweeps, head of the republican Interior Ministry’s press service Abdulmanap Musayev told Tass on Monday. Musayev said 32 caches with arms and ammunition were uncovered. Police seized 54 grenade launchers, 37 assault rifles, 48 hand guns, at least 140 mines and shells, 356 hand grenades, 261 projectiles for grenade launchers, 75 home-made explosive devices, more than 16,000 cartridges and about 19 kilos of explosives.
