Nursultan Nazarbayev was official registered as the president of Kazakhstan Wednesday
Nursultan Nazarbayev was official registered as the president of Kazakhstan Wednesday, the country's top election official said. "The Central Election Committee has made the decision to register Nursultan Nazarbayev as president of Kazakhstan," Onalsyn Zhumabekov said. "Those were the best elections in the history of sovereign Kazakstan," he said. Nazarbayev, the incumbent president of Kazakhstan, cruised to an easy victory with a 91% of the vote in the Central Asian republic's elections on December 4. His inauguration will be held on the second Wednesday of January, 2006.
